Add Codes:

CH ST 1A, CH ST 1B, and CH ST 1C

If you would like to add this course, please follow these steps:

  1. Add yourself to the waitlist for the discussion section(s) you hope to join via GOLD. You may place yourself on more than one discussion section waitlist if you are open to enrolling in any available section.
  2. Attend the discussion section(s) you are waitlisted for during the first two weeks of the quarter.

During the first two weeks, the Office of the Registrar automatically manages adds and drops.

Enrollment priority is as follows:

  • Chicana/o Studies majors by class-standing
  • Other students according to the total units completed (seniority)

At the end of Week 2, any registered students who did not attend their assigned discussion section during the first two weeks will be dropped from the course.

After these adjustments are made, TAs will email add codes to students on the discussion waitlists according to priority (by the end of week two).

Please note: Students must attend the discussion section(s) they are waitlisted for in order to be considered for enrollment.

Other CH ST Courses

In our department, instructors administer their own add codes. If you are interested in requesting an add code, you should contact the instructor listed on GOLD. Our faculty and instructor contact information is available in the People section of this website and on the UCSB Directory.
