This year the Luis Leal Award for distinction in Chicana/o, Latina/o Literature goes to Norma Cantú, author of Canícula: Snapshots of Girlhood en la Frontera and Murchison Endowed Professor in Humanities at Trinity University in Texas.  Professor Cantú will discuss her work and receive the Award on November 7, 2017 at 4pm in Corwin Pavilion.
